OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

1. HERE’S HOW TO ENTER: Beginning 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) on 3/28/07, visit www.johnsonproducts.com, click on the "Hair Check Challenge" link and follow the on-screen instructions to complete and submit an Official Entry Form. You will need to write an original 25 words or fewer statement explaining "What hair challenge do you face relative to relaxing, moisturizing and/or coloring?" You may also submit a recent photograph of yourself (optional). The photograph does not have to depict your hair challenge. Only the 25-word (or fewer) statement will be judged; if a photograph is submitted, it will not be judged. There will be two entry periods. Entries for the first entry period must be received by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on 6/30/07. Entries for the second entry period must be received by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on 9/30/07. Limit one entry per person, per entry period.

2. ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is open only to residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia who relax their hair and are 18 or older at time of entry. Employees of Procter & Gamble, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to enter, nor are entrants who are professional or former professional writers, or who have had their work previously published. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void in Alaska, Hawaii and where prohibited by law.

3. JUDGING: For each entry period, the Sponsor will determine two Grand Prize winning entries, based on the following criteria: Uniqueness of hair issue as expressed in statement (45%), Relevancy of hair issue to relaxing, moisturizing and/or coloring (45%) and Sincerity of statement (10%). Decisions of the judges are final on all matters relating to this Contest. In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken based on the highest score for “Uniqueness of hair issue as expressed in statement.” Winners will be notified via email/mail.

4. PRIZES & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES: 4 prizes with a total maximum retail value of $100.00 available to be won as follows: (4) Grand Prizes (2 per entry period): Winner will receive professional advice via email from the Clairol Professional Design Team (stylists) regarding the hair challenge as described in winning entry, a gift bag including sponsor-specified Johnson Products (Value of gift bag to range between $10.00 and $25.00) and winner’s photo (where applicable) may be featured on the Johnson Products website. No monetary value associated with the professional advice from the Clairol Design Team). Prize consists of only the items specifically listed as the prize. Limit one prize per person.

5. GENERAL RULES: Statements must be written in English. The photograph must be in color and must only contain the entrant; no other person(s) or animals(s) permitted in the photograph, in whole or in part. Photograph submitted online must be in JPEG format and 100 kilobytes or smaller. Potential winners (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, certifying that the entry submitted is their own original work and they hold all rights to the entry, that the entry has not been previously published, has not won a previous prize or award and that they have followed the Official Rules of the Contest. Potential winners (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) may also be required to complete a Release of Liability and a Publicity Release. All forms must be received within 10 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate will be selected. Submissions must not contain defamatory statements (including words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientations, or socioeconomic group); they must not include threats to any person, place, business, or group; they must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm, entity, and they must not in any other way violate applicable federal, state or local laws and regulations. Submissions may not contain indecent behavior, profanities or obscenities, including but not limited to nudity or pornography and may not in any way disparage persons or organizations associated with Sponsor. Sponsor/judges reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any entry that, in their sole opinion, refers, depicts or in any way reflects negatively upon the Sponsor, the Contest or any other person or entity, or does not comply with these requirements or these Official Rules. Entries must be suitable for presentation in a public forum, in sole determination of judges and/or Sponsor. All material submitted becomes property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor reserves the right to reproduce the entries and in full or edit and enhance the entries at its discretion. Sponsor is authorized to use entries as it sees fit, including usage in advertising. No substitution or transfer of prize by winner permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize or any portion thereof of equal or greater value. By accepting prize, winners (or parent/legal guardian if winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) agree to hold Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. All federal, state and local taxes on prize are the sole responsibility of prize winners. Winners (or parent/legal guardian if winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor and its agencies to use prize winners’ names and/or likenesses for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. By participating in this promotion, entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor) agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges which are final. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any promotional materials and the terms and conditions of the Official Rules, the Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing, the offering or the announcement of the prizes or in the administration of the promotion. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.

Not responsible for faulty, incorrect or mistranscribed phone/e-mail transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind, technical hardware or software failures of any kind including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or experiencing any materials in connection with the promotion, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in the promotion. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for undeliverable e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering by a user's Internet service provider and/or e-mail client or for insufficient space in user's e-mail account to receive e-mail. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the promotion if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the program; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration or security of the program as determined by Sponsor/judging agency/administrator, in their sole discretion. In the event the online entry portion of the Contest is terminated, a notice will be posted online and all eligible entries received prior to termination will be judged. Any damage made to the Web Site will be the responsibility of the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Proof of submitting entries will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like methods of participation will void all such submissions by such methods. Sponsor reserves the right to freeze or close an account or to prohibit the participation of an individual/account holder if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the individual/account holder fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.
